The Knuckles series reveals part of its cast
, by Thibaut
The world of the blue hedgehog is soon to flourish again on the small screen. Indeed, a spin-off series of the Sonic movies is about to see the light of day. It will focus on the character of Knuckles and will be broadcast on Paramount+. The story will take place between the Sonic 2 and 3 feature films.
In the role of the red echidna, we will simply find Idris Elba, who will reprise his role from the second movie. Alongside him, Adam Pally will once again play the role of police officer Wade Whipple. The latter will be central to the plot as he will be trained by Knuckles throughout the series. Among the recurring roles, Paramount has mentioned the names of Eddi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, and Ellie Taylor. The more occasional roles will see Rory McCann or Tika Sumpter appear on screen.
The production of the series is said to have begun in London. The pilot episode is directed by Jeff Fowler, who was already in charge of directing the two movies. Recall that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is expected to arrive in theaters on December 20, 2024.
