Xbox has pushed Fable back to 2026

Playground Games presented Fable in July 2020. The game was then shown several times at Xbox summer events. Alas, the British studio won't be able to meet its 2025 release date.

Xbox Game Studios boss Craig Duncan made the postponement official during the official Xbox podcast. We learn that Fable has been pushed back to 2026. The development team simply needs a little more time. There are a few new images in the video (from 15:54).

After all, this 2025, Microsoft plans to launch a number of RPGs already, including Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake, which is due to be announced shortly. The delay of Fable until 2026 will give gamers a little breathing space.
