The acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft has been approved by South Africa

The acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft has been approved by South Africa. Despite obstacles, Microsoft seems to be on the verge of completing the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. While the American multinational has encountered significant resistance in European and American markets, some territories have already accepted the acquisition. This is the case, for example, in Saudi Arabia, Japan, Chile, Serbia, and Brazil.

This week, "The Competition Commission South Africa" validated the merger between the two entities. South Africa even gave its approval "without conditions". We are therefore getting closer to the validation of the acquisition on a larger scale. This could happen sometime during the summer.
