The next Street Fighter movie has a new director and will come out in 2026

Capcom has given the go-ahead for a new film adaptation of the Street Fighter franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Japanese company is "very involved" in the project, and the movie has a new director.
It's Kitao Sakurai, who recently directed the film Bad Trip, starring actor Eric André, for Netflix. Legendary Pictures will co-produce the movie, which is scheduled for 2026.
