Hogwarts Legacy records sales 256% higher than Warner Bros.' projections

The Harry Potter phenomenon shows no signs of weakening! Warner Bros. will soon produce a series based on J.K. Rowling's books and one can imagine that new video games will emerge over the years. Indeed, the success of Hogwarts Legacy promises a bright future for the franchise on our consoles and PCs.

On LinkedIn, Warner Bros.'s senior global brand manager, Arien Darby, shared dizzying figures. Hogwarts Legacy sold 256% more than the brand had expected. Thus, in the first two weeks of its release, Avalanche Software's title sold 12 million copies worldwide, generating $850 million during that period.

Let's also keep in mind that the game is not yet available on all platforms. Hogwarts Legacy will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on May 5, 2023. The Switch version will be released on July 25. In short, one can say that the figures will continue to climb!
