The redundancies at 10:10 Games are said to have been somewhat abusive

Earlier this week, we learned that the studio behind Funko Fusion had made redundancies. Now, Insider Gaming has some additional information on the matter.

By mid-January, around 19 people had been affected by the restructuring. Some employees are said to have been encouraged to take a vacation, only to be informed that their positions would be removed during the same period.

While 10:10 Games promised severance pay, the company reportedly paid nothing in the end. No support was provided to the employees concerned. All they got was payment for unused vacation days and a period of notice.

"Management seemed very keen to wrap up the process quickly, and despite saying that they were fully open to suggestions and feedback, none of it has been taken on board."

The precipitous dismissals are said to have been caused by the critical and commercial failure of Funko Fusion, which caused the studio not to secure financing for future projects. There simply wasn't enough work for all the teams.

10:10 Games has issued no official statement on the matter yet.
