FromSoftware may add a two-player mode for Elden Ring Nightreign

When it releases on May 30, Elden Ring Nightreign will feature single player and three player modes. Sadly, it won't be possible to play just two.. or at least not for now.

In an interview, director Junya Ishizaki said that two friends will be able to play together, but that they will automatically be grouped with a third person from outside their squad when the game starts.

However, Ishizaki did not rule out the possibility of adding the option for just two players at a later date.

"Regarding having just two players, not three players or solo, it is something we are considering, but it is currently not in the game at the moment."
