AMD is said to be working on a Radeon RX 9000 with 32 GB
, by Quentin
A new rumor from Chiphell points to AMD working on a Radeon RX 9000 GPU with 32 GB of memory, double that of the RX 9070. AMD has yet to say anything regarding the official specifications of the RX 9070, but models from partners like ASUS and PowerColor seem to confirm 16 Gb of 256-bit GDDR6 so far.
Rumor has it that this new card is not a Radeon PRO 9000, but a gaming version instead. Another leaker points to it launching during the first half of 2025. There's no confirmation of it using a Navi 48 GPU, but the mention of the 9070 series could point to an alternative version with a larger memory.
This memory capacity could get the interest of not only gaming, but especially AI. However, the card would remain on the 20 GB/s memory, slower than the 28-30 GB/s GDDR7 offered by the RTX 50s, thus limiting the bandwith gains.
