Both Assassin's Creed Shadows main characters will have their own quest
, by Thibaut
As it has become tradition for the franchise, Assassin's Creed Shadows will let us control one of two different characters. This time, we have Naoe, a shinobi from the Iga province, and Yasuke, a samurai who must face his past.
In an interview with Screenrant, director Jonathan Dumont spoke of the differences between the two protagonists, which he describes as "complementary" in narrative terms. They will each have their own introduction and quests. Even though "the core of the game can be pick your character and the game adapts.", some missions will be unique to a specific protagonist.
In addition, side quests will let players to relive Naoe's and Yasuke's past via flashbacks. This will help us better understand their motivations and experiences prior to the events of the game. Optional missions will also require us to track down targets before assassinating them, while others will be useful for forging relationships with NPCs.
