Roblox has missed its financial targets and in turn loses market value

For the fourth quarter of 2024 (ending December 31), Roblox reported some impressive, yet at the same timedisappointing figures.

While Wall Street analysts had hoped to see the platform gather 88.4 million daily players, the total was "only" 85.3 million. This represents a 4% drop on the previous quarter. What's more, total user engagement also fell by 9.7% over the period, to 18.7 billion hours played.

The company's sales came in at $1.36 billion, against stock market expectations of $1.37 billion. This had an immediate effect, and Roblox shares plummeted by 20%.
