A patent for the Switch 2's Joy-Cons confirms they work as a mouse too

This was first the subject of numerous rumours, and then got sort of confirmed in the Switch 2 presentation video. Now we can better understand the Switch 2 Joy-Con's use as a mouse.
A patent gives us a more detailed look at how it's designed and what it might look like, controller in hand.
It remains to be seen, when the Switch is released, whether this functionality will feel good to use, or whether it will remain largely anecdotal. We'll also have to wait and see whether Nintendo and third-party publishers will make the most of it or if it will end up being forgotten.
