More than 100 people have left Bandai Namco during this fiscal year

Last October, Bloomberg reported on some drastic changes going on at Bandai Namco. At the time, the publisher had halted certain projects and pushed employees to leave the company.

Today, the Automaton website reports that 117 people have left the company between April 2024 and February 2025. We don't know whether these are redundancies or voluntary departures. In Japan, the tradition is rather to isolate unwanted employees in a room and not giving them any work to perform, all with the aim to push them out without having to fire them.

This method may well have been used for the hundred or so departures recorded over the last ten months.
