Sony has laid off part of PlayStation's hardware division

Earlier this week, Sony Interactive Entertainment laid off a number of staff almost to a deafening silence.
On Mastodon, Ryosuke Hana, a now former senior design technologist at PlayStation, said that most of his team had been made redundant. During his four-plus years at Sony, Hana worked on the PS5, PS VR2, PlayStation App and even the company's future consoles.
We don't know how many people have been affected yet.
