MSI and ASUS raise the prices for their RTX 50s
, by Quentin
Less than a week after their launch, RTX 50 graphics cards are already seeing their prices rise in the official MSI and ASUS stores. MSI is no longer offering any models at MSRP prices, having increased the prices of its RTX 5080 and 5090. The RTX 5080 VENTUS without overclocking is now priced at $1,139.99, $140 more than at launch. In fact, the lowest-priced RTX 5090 is now $2,379.99, up $380. Some models are up to $790 above NVIDIA's announced prices.
Meanwhile, Atlus is showing RTX 50 cards, but none are in stock. The cheapest model, the PRIME RTX 5080, remains listed at $999, although ASUS says it should retail for $1,264.99. Its most expensive model, the RTX 5090 ROG ASTRAL LC, has seen its price climb to $3,409.99, $1,409 more than the original MSRP.
These increases come as demand greatly surpasses suplly . While some independent resellers are inflating prices, these official store increases also raise the question of manufacturers' post-launch pricing policies.
