Nintendo will ban foreign bank cards and PayPal accounts on the Japanese eShop
, by Thibaut
Here's an unexpected restriction to be applied to the Japanese eShop from March 25 onwards.
In order to prevent "prevent fraudulent actions", Nintendo has announced that the Japanese eShop and Nintendo Store will no longer accept foreign bank cards or PayPal accounts.
"For customers who have used credit cards issued abroad or PayPal accounts opened abroad, we ask you to use other payment methods, such as credit cards issued in Japan, from now on."
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your understanding."
European and American users who wanted to make their purchase on the Japanese eShop will now have to use an alternate payment option.
