Hideaki Nishino will be PlayStation's sole CEO from April 1
, by Thibaut
Following Jim Ryan's departure, Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino were appointed co-CEOs of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) last June. But this won't be the case for too long now.
In fact, a new hierarchical change will take effect on April 1, 2025. On that date, Nishino will become the company's sole CEO. Hulst will retain his position as head of the Studio Business Group division, but will now report to Nishino. This decision was taken with the aim of "maximizing synergies across SIE".
In addition, we also learn that Hiroki Totoki, the current CFO and COO of Sony Group Corporation, will become CEO of the group on that same day.
Finally, Lin Tao, the current Vice President of Strategy and Development at SIE, will become CFO of Sony Group Corporation. We'll know who will replace her at a later date.
