Ori 3 may be in the works

While Moon Studios is currently hard at work with No Rest for the Wicked, we can't rule out a sequel to Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Thomas Mahler, head of the studio, has spoken on the subject on Discord.

He staqted that creating a story for a third entry would prove to be difficult, but that he received a call from Microsoft several days ago. While he didn't outright say that this is about Ori 3, it's safe to assume that the American company would be interested in bringing back the IP.

In any case, Mahler made it clear that No Rest for the Wicked remains his priority for the time being.
