, by Thibaut
Given all that the company is currently going throuhg, it's no wonder that Ubisoft is going to cut some positions.
The Ubisoft Leamington studio in England will be closed. This team worked on the DJ Hero IP and went on to support projects such as Far Cry 5 and Star Wars Outlaws. Staff numbers will also be reduced in the Düsseldorf and Stockholm offices, as well as in Ubisoft Reflections.
All in all, a total of 185 people will be made redundant, and the publisher explained its decision in a press release sent to the VGC website.
"As part of our ongoing efforts to prioritize projects and reduce costs that ensure long-term stability at Ubisoft, we have announced targeted restructurings at Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm and Ubisoft Reflections and the permanent closure of Ubisoft Leamington site."
