Resident Evil will get yet another movie reboot
, by Thibaut
After Paul W. S. Anderson's controversial adaptations and the Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City fiasco, Capcom's franchise is about to give movies another try.
Hollywood Reporter reports that there's a reboot in the works, to be produced by Constantin Film and PlayStation Productions. Warner Bros. and Netflix are also said to be involved in the project, and Zach Cregger (Barbarian) will direct and write. Shay Hatten, who worked on John Wick 4 and Army of the Dead, will co-write the screenplay.
According to early information, this new Resident Evil film will return to the origins of the license, with an emphasis on horror, and should also be more faithful to the video games.
