The Switch 2 will feature Hall Effect joysticks, avoiding drift

The Switch 2 features several innovations and improvements, including revamped joysticks. And as we previously reported, these new Joy-Cons will fix a major problem of the first Switch.

According to the X account NextHandheld, the joysticks on the Switch 2 will feature Hall Effect. These use magnets and electrical conductors to measure position, movement and distance when in use, and have no physical content between moving parts. And what does than mean? There's no drift, and wear on the device is much slower to develop.

Last but not least, NextHandheld has revealed that a bundle will go on sale for the launch of the Switch 2, presumably containing the console and Mario Kart 9.
