RTX 4070 may soon be out of stock

According to Board Channels, the GeForce RTX 4070 could be out of stock by the end of January. This info comes from discussions on forums where industry members exchange information on the state of stocks, so this situation may vary from place to place.

Buyers will have to choose between keeping their current hardware or going for available models. At present, the RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 SUPER are priced between $550 and $600, close to the announced price of the RTX 5070, supposed to be $549.

Inventory of RTX 4070 and higher models should be gone by the end of January. In February, major brand partners will only have RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 models, which will still have to sell out. As NVIDIA begins its first fiscal quarter in February, these models will be entering its final stock.

As for the RTX 4060 series, NVIDIA has still to announce a successor, and pricing will depend on remaining availability. Production of the RTX 4060 (not the Ti model) is due to end in the first quarter, with an update scheduled after the launch of the RTX 5070 in February. Meanwhile, and all according to some rumors, the RTX 5060 series could be released in March.
