Sony has filed several patents, including one that uses AI to anticipate player movements

The Japanese company has recently filed a number of patents. Please do note, of course, that a patent doesn't necessarily end up being used. The following features may never see the light of day.

First of all, Sony is studying a system that would anticipate players' movements using AI, recording the user's actions in order to predict what they will do next. This technology could help reduce lag.

What's more, the AI could also pretend to be a player, making it easier to detect cheaters. In a different vein, it could also provide on-screen help if the microphone or controller detects frustration on the part of the user.

Last but not least, Sony has also patented an accessory that would bring more realism to shooters. The player would hold the controller sideways and aim between the R1 and R2 triggers.
