Square Enix will protect its employees and partners from customer harassment

This week, Square Enix has announced its new policy to defend its teams from customer harassment.

In a press release, the Japanese company has prefaced that it's always open to feedback and criticism concerning its products, but that the company is now concerned about the damaging behavior of certain consumers.

The company may opt to " cease providing support services or to refrain from providing our group's products and services" to anyone should they fail to behave like a normal person, going so far as to take legal action in the most extreme cases.

Square Enix reserves the right to take action should a customer engage in "Defamation/slander, denial of personality, personal attack (including email, contact in contact form, comment or post on the internet), advance notice of wrongdoing, advance notice of obstruction of business".
