Pimax presents its Crystal Super VR headset at CES 2025

Pimax presented its new Crystal Super VR headset at CES 2025, marking a breakthrough in VR thanks to its 29 million pixels.

The Crystal Super offers a resolution of 3840x3840 per eye, achieving near-retinal clarity. It uses aspherical glass lenses offering a pixel density of 57 pixels per degree (PPD) and a horizontal field of view of over 120°, with a brightness of 280 nits. At CES, Pimax showed the DVT2 (Design Validation Test #2) model, where all features were active except eye tracking, with final optimizations still in progress.

The headset is perfect for rapid optics changes thanks to interchangeable panels and lenses. The QLED 57 PPD version, demonstrated at CES, will be available soon, followed by QLED 50 PPD and micro-OLED versions in Q1 2025.

Pimax also announced the Crystal Light, a more accessible version suitable for flight and racing simulations.

Last but not least, this range comes to an end with the 60G Airlink, designed for a low-latency wireless PCVR experience.
