, by Quentin
Plenty of journalists had the change to get hand-on with the new Zotac Zone handheld (or at least its prototype) at CES 2025, which boasts a much improved performance over last year's model thanks to its new components.
The machine features a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor based on the Strix Point architecture. This chip is equipped with 12 Zen 5 cores and 24 threads, as wel as 24 MB of shared L3 cache and 1 MB of L2 cache per core. When it comes to graphics, we have have a Radeon 890M GPU based on RDNA 3.5 architecture with 16 compute units. The console also comes with 32 G of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of storage via an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD.
As for the screen, we're talking about a 7" 1080p OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, quite the feat for a portable. The Zotac Zone will be available later this year.
