The Shadow of the Colossus movie is still going strong

You have to go back to 2009 for the first rumors about a Shadow of the Colossus adaptation. The second game in Fumito Ueda's Ico was supposed to be made into a film directed by Josh Trank before he left the project in 2012.
Last we heard, The Flash director Andrés Muschietti took over the reins in 2014, and that's the last we heard about it... until now.
In an interview, Muschietti explained that the film is still alive, that a script is ready and that "the film has been in development for 10 years, and the possibility of making it presents itself today."
However, there are still concerns about financing the project. The Argentine filmmaker would like to raise up to $200 million, but admits it won't be easy.
